Exodus 3:1-2 Tree of Life Version

36 “So Bezalel and Oholiab are to work, along with every wise-hearted man in whom Adonai has placed insight and understanding to know how to perform all the labor for the service of the Sanctuary, according to everything Adonai has commanded.”Then Moses called Bezalel, Oholiab and all the wise-hearted men in whose minds Adonai had set wisdom, along with everyone whose heart stirred him up to come do the work.

1 Peter 2:9 Tree of Life Version

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

The Launch Episode: Your Net Worth? He Caught You and Called You by Name July 7 2021

What does it mean to be chosen as a creative for His purposes? How do we get past our past, get in His boat, stay involved, then navigate the smooth waters or storms as we fix our eyes on the Captain? The Chosen, a streaming series on Jesus and His followers, is receiving a lot of attention in media. Dallas Jenkins, the director, the cast, crew and entire team have woven together excellently produced storylines as they humbly lean on the Master Producer to bring each episode to life. Episode 2  The I AM in the Impossible: Get Real So He Can Heal  July 23 2021

How do we let Him comfort us in and get us through seemingly unsurmountable grief in its various forms?

The Chosen Creative Podcast Episode 2 I AM in the Impossible: Get Real So He Can Heal

Isaiah 61:1-3 TLV

The Ruach (Spirit)of Adonai Elohim is on me,
because Adonai has anointed me
to proclaim Good News to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to those who are bound,
to proclaim the year of Adonai’s favor
and the day of our G-d’s vengeance,
to comfort all who mourn
to console those who mourn in Zion,
to give them beauty for ashes,
the oil of joy for mourning,
    the garment of praise
        for the spirit of heaviness,
that they might be called oaks of righteousness,
    the planting of Adonai,
    that He may be glorified.

Episode 3 - The Divine in the Doubt  August 23 2021

Do you struggle with doubt in your life as a creative or life in general? The disiciples battled with it in The Chosen. How did they and can we navigate the storm of doubt and move the mountains of unbelief as we walk with our Rabbi?

The Chosen Creative Podcast Episode 3 - The Divine in the Doubt

11 Trustworthy is the saying:

If we died with Him,
we will also live with Him;
12 if we endure, we will also reign with Him;
if we deny Him, He will also deny us;
13 if we are faithless, He remains faithful,
    for He cannot deny Himself.

Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God,

Episode 4 - Zealous Release   October 26 2021

Are we trusting in our own celebrity or His capability? Nathanael and Simon the Zealot struggled when Jesus (Yeshua) redefined their fervor for Him. Do you? Join us for this unpolished, unedited, and honest message by Selah about how losing spiritual fervor during test seasons can allow Him to rer-route our definition of ministry success.

Scripture References: Psalm 91 (not 90), John 14:26-28, Zechariah 4:6 (not Zephaniah), Leviticus 10:1-3, Romans 12 (central verses 11-12), Matthew 11:29-30, 1 Peter 1:2-4, John 16:33, 2 Corinthians 6:15-17, Luke 6:44

Episode 5 - His Light Shines in Our Darkness, Thanksgiving and Chanukah 2021

The days are getting shorter and the nights longer literally, and it can appear that way spiritually.  Spiritual blindness is pervasive, the dark increasingly oppressive, the need for the light of hope is intensifying. Yet our eyesight can sometimes deceive us. Yeshua embodied Chanukah, The Festival of Lights or Feast of Dedication, for all souls. And we need, and can be thankful for, His miracle of Light now more than ever. How can we walk in His Light through the darkness with gratitude and joy this winter?

Episode 8 Similarities and Strategies  April 10 2024

The Creator worked through Bezalel and Esther, one imperfect vessel who built a tabernacle from materials to house the Presence of His King, and the other who built an future and legacy for her people by trusting her King. Both were used to change history with a specific destiny involving His people.

Bezalel and possibly the other craftsmen worked with gems, Esther wore them. Both are certainly gems in His eyes and earned jewels in their eternal crowns, though from what we know about their character, they probably laid those crowns down at their Heavenly King’s feet.

Both were prepared for and given a specific task, and used correct tools effectively
during a pivotal time in history  Both were obedient and willing.

Bezalel’s Strategy Gems

Gem 1 - His humble resolve to commit to the work for His Creator and creative excellence.
Gem 2 - His spiritual preparation & skill as he was filled with wisdom, and kept his relationship with His Creator strong.
Gem 3 - He understood Israel was at circumstantial pivotal point, and he helped to re-establish its culture.
Gem 4 -  He understood His position, knew his own response in it, and the cost if he didn’t obey with excellence.
Gem 5 - He followed the instruction of Moses (the recipient of the engraved tablets of the Covenant), worked with excellence and in unity with his team.

(The number five represents the Torah in Jewish thought and teaching.)

Both Bezalel and Esther understood the principle later written in Zechariah 4:6 ITree of Life Version)
6 Then he responded to me by saying, ‘This is the word of Adonai to Zerubbabel saying: “Not by might, nor by power, but by My Ruach!” says Adonai-Tzva’ot.

The Engravers are wise-hearted, stirred, ready and skilled to do His work not by might,
nor by power, but by His Spirit.

"Engrave an inscription...” I looked up Song of Songs 2 verse 3 "I delight to sit in his shade,”…(This can mean under the shadow of the Almighty- one meaning of the name Bezalel.)
and his fruit is sweet to my taste.” (We will one day sit under His vine and fig tree.)
4 Let him lead me to the banquet hall,…” (This could mean past the Holy Place into the Holy of Holies)
“and let his banner over me be love.” (So we can have His identity and can abide in His shelter)

Psalm 91:1-3  Tree of Life Version
“1 He who dwells in the shelter of Elyon, will abide in the shadow of Shaddai. 2 I will say of Adonai, “He is my refuge and my fortress,     my God, in whom I trust. 3 For He will rescue you from the hunter’s trap “ (Or plans of the enemy.) “and from the deadly pestilence.” (Of evil, unbelief, pretentious plans against His plan.)

And we read in Isaiah 49:16: “See, I have engraved you (Jerusalem) on the palms of my hands;  your walls are ever before me.”  (The walls in Jerusalem, but perhaps also being human, moving tabernacles inside His eternal Temple (Kingship, Sovereignty and Plan))

I have inscribed you in Hebrew:
חַקֹּתִ֑יךְ (ḥaq·qō·ṯîḵ)
Verb - Qal - Perfect - first person common singular | second person feminine singular
To hack, engrave, to enact, prescribe (Strong’s 27:10)

Psalm 61:3-5  New King James Version
“3 For You have been a shelter for me, A strong tower from the enemy. 4 I will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings. Selah
5 For You, O God, have heard my vows; You have given me the heritage of those who fear Your name.”

Episode 9  Esther's Strategy Gems April 19 2024

We ask you to join us in an urgent call to prayer after Iran attacked Israel this past Saturday night, and Israel leaders decided on startegic defense mission today, Friday. Please also pray for the escape, rescue or release of the hostages still held in Gaza, protection for all the medical and military personnel in all departments of the IDF and comfort as well as strength for all those who mourn or miss their loved ones as a result of the conflict. May the Passover Lamb grant us freedom from those who try to oppress us this Passover. Chag Pesach Sameach to you and yours from us at Living Arts Tabernacle.

We as children of the King with royal status are also called to intercede on behalf of the Jewish people now during the nation’s most intense struggle for survival to date, just as Queen Esther did in Persia centuries ago… The war continues, this time with the bigger source of strife, but the King is on His throne. She knew to bathe, which might have even meant she immersed in the waters of a mikvah or ritual bath for purification and preparation for His Divine deliverance.

About this, Carolyn Hyde, a fellow worship-warrior wrote:

“Esther 5:1 in English she put on her royal robes. But the Hebrew says: וַתִּלְבַּשׁ אֶסְתֵּר מַלְכוּת which literally means "Esther put on the Kingdom"!

Also the phrase from Esther 4:14 "for such a time as this" is not complete.
"And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this."
“וּמִי יוֹדֵעַ אִם־לְעֵת כָּזֹאת הִגַּעַתְּ לַמַּלְכֽוּת?”

I love it that the word for attained is נָגַע which also means to touch. So an alternative translation could be "And who knows whether you have not touched the Kingdom for such a time as this!

There are times when we are called to literally touch the Kingdom…”

Could this possibly mean we engrave or make our mark for the Kingdom?

Esther 4:13-16 (TLV)
13 Mordecai told them to reply to Esther with this answer, “Do not think in your soul that you will escape in the king’s household more than all the Jews. 14 For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place—but you and your father’s house will perish. Who knows whether you have attained royal status for such a time as this?”
15 Esther sent this to reply to Mordecai, 16 “Go! Gather together all the Jews who are in Shushan and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast in the same way. Afterwards, I will go in to the king, even though it is not according to the law. So if I perish, I perish!”

Esther's Strategy Gems

Step into Queen Esther’s royal robe, feel the weight of her calling on your mind… adopt her strategies as your own.

Esther interceded by starting with repentance and a dedicated prayer time and…
Gem 1 - Resolved to commit to her Heavenly King and the task with humility and prayer, was filled with wisdom and courage.
Gem 2 - Knew her true beauty and spiritual preparations. Mordechai taught her the Torah and she knew her identity and relationship with Her Creator strong, though secret.
Gem 3 - She understood the environment, the times, the culture, and her circumstances through His lens.
Gem 4 - She understood He gave her the position, knew how to respond in the position, and the cost if she didn’t use it to intercede
Gem 5 - Followed Mordechai’s advice, worked in unity with Her Heavenly King and the Jews.

Modern-day Esthers know Who to turn to for cleansing and preparation in their time of need, then arise to action.

2 Corinthians 12:9-11  Tree of Life Version
9 But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly in my weaknesses, so that the power of Messiah may dwell in me. 10 For Messiah’s sake, then, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in distresses, in persecutions, in calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Isaiah 61:10 TLV
I will rejoice greatly in Adonai. My soul will be joyful in my God. For He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me in a robe of righteousness— like a bridegroom wearing a priestly turban, like a bride adorning herself with her jewels

Isaiah 59:17
He put on righteousness as a breastplate and a helmet of salvation on His head. He clothed Himself in robes of vengeance and wrapped Himself in zeal as a cloak.

Episode 10 Water of Purification, Preparation, and Deliverance before a New Season  April 26 2024

In one episode of The Chosen, Eden miscarries, and she and Simon experience a crisis of faith in His Creator’s plan for them. Their parallel desperation is captured in emotionally and visually poignant images, along with Eden’s touching prayer, “Don’t let him go.”
Many of us creatives feel captive or irreversibly tainted by a decision or experience which negatively impacted or still impacts our relationship with our Creator. Fortunately, He never lets us drown in the consequences of such choices or events, and His next life-giving scene is a short prayer away:
Jesus, I believe You died for me to forgive and cleanse me completely. I accept Your forgiveness and (if you never have asked Him) ask You to enter into and rule in my heart as my Lord and Savior. Amen.
(If you prayed the prayer above for the first time, please write us a contact form so we can encourage you and pray for You.)

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. John 1:9 ESV

Jesus answered him, “What I am doing you do not understand now, but afterward you will understand.” Peter said to him, “You shall never wash my feet.” Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no share with me.” Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, not my feet only but also my hands and my head!” John 13:7-9 ESV

He delivers us daily from our downfalls and weaknesses in the same way He delivered the Israelites from the Egyptians who formerly held them captive.

 That’s pretty powerful.

13 Then Yeshua came from the Galil to the Yarden to be immersed by Yochanan. 14 But Yochanan tried to stop him. “You are coming to me? I ought to be immersed by you!” 15 However, Yeshua answered him, “Let it be this way now, because we should do everything righteousness requires.” Then Yochanan let him. 16 As soon as Yeshua had been immersed, he came up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, he saw the Spirit of God coming down upon him like a dove, 17 and a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; I am well pleased with him.” Matthew 3:13-17 CJB

Yeshua, the Creator Incarnate, went to Yochanan (John the Baptist) to be immersed in obedience to His Father, and He in turn sent His Spirit in approval. Yeshua, the Deliverer on Earth, did not need deliverance nor purification, but He was about to level up His ministry into a much larger arena.

Queen Esther, too, went through this spiritual sequence of purification, preparation and deliverance:
On the third day Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the king's palace, in front of the king's quarters, while the king was sitting on his royal throne inside the throne room opposite the entrance to the palace. 2 And when the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, she won favor in his sight, and he held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand. Then Esther approached and touched the tip of the scepter. 3 And the king said to her, “What is it, Queen Esther? What is your request? It shall be given you, even to the half of my kingdom.” Esther 5:1-3 ESV

Adonai, grant us Your Holy Spirit to guide us in Your purification, preparation, and deliverance prior to Your provision of a fresh robe (new identity or mindset) for an important consultation and commissioning from Your for a creative life change, event, project or season “promise land”.
I am so joyful in Adonai!
My soul rejoices in my God,
for he has clothed me in salvation,
dressed me with a robe of triumph,
like a bridegroom wearing a festive turban,
like a bride adorned with her jewels. Isaiah 61:10 CJB (emphasis mine)

He told us about the trials in advance, gave us Hope through His written Word, the Bible, and the Living Word, Yeshua (Jesus) even though we turned from Him.
He promised to walk through it with us, He won’t disown us. He might bring others to walk with us if needed, or not if He is enough.
If we can breathe, feel, hear, see, taste, walk, etc., we can praise Him in our actions and thoughts and help someone who can't do any number of them on their own.
He told us to converse with Him in prayer - the G-d of the universe said this to you!

He will supply all our needs if we have the right heart. Needs, not wants. Father knows best.
He fills our cup through various means so we can give hope to others. If this blessed you, please share it.

We can reach out to those we care about and spend quality quarantine time with them or prayer time for those more difficult relationships.

His Chosen Outdoor Feast!

We get to gather into another Chosen Time, Sukkot (Booths/Tabernacles/Ingathering) to rest, to feast and to be grateful, to remember how He protected the nation of Israel  as we lived in booths after the Exodus, and that He tabernacles with all believers - all great reasons to celebrate Him even during, or more importantly, especially during difficult times.

From Leviticus 23 Tree of Life Version (Also see verses 33-38):
39 “So on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruits of the land, you are to keep the Feast of Adonai for seven days. The first day is to be a Shabbat rest, and the eighth day will also be a Shabbat rest. 40 On the first day you are to take choice fruit of trees, branches of palm trees,[b] boughs of leafy trees, and willows of the brook, and rejoice before Adonai your God for seven days. 41 You are to celebrate it as a festival to Adonai for seven days in the year. It is a statute forever throughout your generations—you are to celebrate it in the seventh month. 42 You are to live in sukkot for seven days. All the native-born in Israel are to live in sukkot, 43 so that your generations may know that I had Bnei-Yisrael to dwell in sukkot when I brought them out of the land of Egypt. I am Adonai your God.”

His Joy in the Word Party Starts Soon!

Joy seems hard to find these days, but few things can bring lasting joy like His Spirit working through His Word can. Simchat Torah isn’t a social media platform to talk about Torah, it is an invitation to rejoice in the Torah (the first five books of the Bible: Genesis through Deuteronomy). On this holiday, most synagogues parade their Torah scrolls, and start the portion reading cycle anew. This year Simchat Torah begins at sundown tomorrow, Tuesday September 28th outside of Israel.
The Torah is the strong foundation for the rest of the Scriptures, and the Scarlet Cord of Yeshua’s (Jesus’) Person is woven through them from beginning to end, tying it and His plan for mankind together in Divine perfection. In Genesis He, the Living Word who transcends time, was in the beginning, the Covenant Maker, and is present now- He created the heavens and the earth and created you to have a relationship with Him by accepting His atonement as the Passover Lamb in the Gospels, all for salvation and a future together with you described in Revelation.

In Exodus, Leviticus (including His Chosen Times in Chapter 23 and 24) and Deuteronomy He gave His Commandments as loving guidelines for that relationship with Israel and any who want to be grafted into that relationship (Romans 11). Epic accounts, poems, narratives, prophecies, songs, wisdom, warnings and more spring to life off the page to bring us encouragement, hope, revelation, peace for the challenging times and wisdom to those who truly seek Him for it. May you receive and explore this in His Word, His precious gift and treasure, this year!

“1 In the beginning was the Word. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 All things were made through Him, and apart from Him nothing was made that has come into being. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overpowered it.”  (1 John 1:1-5 TLV)

The ultimate reason to rejoice: the Living Word created us to have a relationship with Him- now that is an amazing sensory Bible experience!! If you haven’t yet, leave behind what doesn’t fulfill you, and invite Him into your heart to begin that relationship and receive His best for you. Please let us know of your decision with a contact form on www.SensoryBibleExperiences.com so we can suggest next steps and pray for you.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this little break from The Chosen Creative Netcast to learn a about His Fall Holidays. We now return you to your regularly scheduled series, hopefully with a fresh new interest to learn more about His Appointed Times so you can celebrate as the disciples did.
