Calling the King’s Engravers and Esthers to their royal positions
for such a time as this!

 

At pivotal moments in history, artists of the Bible used their craft to glorify their Creator. Young Esther rose to royalty to intercede for the survival of her people.

Learn the treasure of their strategies.

Artistic worshippers are instrumental in the King’s reverent repentance and redemption plan. We must go before the King to pierce the darkness and crumble the walls of evil.

Engage with Elohim, elevate His Name, experience victory
and exhort others with your gifts.

Modern-day artistic Levites, arise for battle
and may His enemies be scattered!

 

In The Chosen, the characters face spiritual challenges such as Mary’s struggle with alcohol Matthew’s insecurity, Peter’s pride, those of deceptive or demonic influences, marital struggles, strong spiritual opposition to their salvation message, and physical exhaustion.

 

As creatives today, how can we overcome and gain victory over intense challenges as we worship the Master Creator and intercede for those in need? One way is to look to the Engravers and Queen Esther as examples in our latest podcast!

The Engravers

Zechariah 1:17-21
This is what the L-rd of Armies says: “My cities will again overflow with prosperity, and the L-rd will again comfort Zion and again choose Jerusalem.” Then I raised my eyes and looked, and behold, there were four horns. So I said to the angel who was speaking with me, “What are these?” And he said to me, “These are the horns that have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.” Then the L-rd showed me four craftsmen. And I said, “What are these coming to do?” And He said, “These are the horns that have scattered Judah so that no one lifts up his head; but these craftsmen have come to frighten them, to throw down the horns of the nations who have lifted up their horns against the land of Judah in order to scatter it.”

 

Some other versions use the word blacksmiths instead of craftsmen, only a few use artisans, Strongs 2796 charash, which means engraver or artificer. What about engravers/craftsmen would cause enemies to be terrified? We know Nehemiah’s builders had swords at their side as they rebuilt, and we have the sword of the Spirit which is His Word!

The Captain of the Armies gives us orders, protocol, skill, and wisdom with divine instincts for Divinely-led intercession, but we will only terrify the enemy if the King can use our vessels effectively.

 

Zechariah 3:8-10 (TLV)
Listen well, Joshua kohen gadol, both you and your companions seated before you, because they are men who are a sign—behold, I will bring forth My servant the Branch. For behold! The stone I have laid before Joshua is one stone with seven facets. On it I will engrave an inscription,” declares Adonai-Tzva’ot, “that I will remove the iniquity of this land in one day. In that day,” declares Adonai-Tzva’ot, “every man will invite his neighbor to sit under the vine and under the fig tree.’”

 

Just like the engravers who worked on the Tabernacle Exodus 31, 35-38), I think as the modern-day creative worshippers we can be considered the “engravers” or craftsmen, and will help rebuild the Tabernacle of David which terrifies the enemies of our King!

 

When Yeshua wrote or engraved in the sand in front of the woman caught in adultery, His authority to forgive covered her sin - like it has ours if we receive His atoning work on the cross, and will also cover Israel’s adultery. “It is written…” (And since the Word was with G-d in the beginning, perhaps even engraved from before the foundations of the earth.)

 

Yeshua removed the woman’s adultery in one day with HIS authority and told her to sin no more. His grace, in light of our own and Israel’s sin, cleansed us and will cleanse her so her accusers are silenced! Another theme the Spirit is leading me to work into this series is water - in this case the water of beautification, and in a way, purification. Her heavenly Husband was washing her, and possibly cleansing the whole nation of Israel from the sin of assimilation with the purifying water of His Word (Ephesians 5:25-27).

 

This is the same thing Yeshua (the Branch written of above whose name means Salvation) said in the wilderness to HaSatan, the enemy of our souls and the source of the evil working through our enemies today!

 

Let us take up His authority which lives and works through us as His creative army so we can declare and pray:

“Arise, Jerusalem! Let your light shine for all to see.
For the glory of the L-RD rises to shine on you.
Darkness as black as night covers all the nations of the earth,
but the glory of the L-RD rises and appears over you.
All nations will come to your light;
mighty kings will come to see your radiance. (Isaiah 60: 1-3 NLT)

 

And remember Yeshua declared this about Himself,

and if we have received Him as Savior, His Spirit lives in us:

 

The Spirit of the L-rd God is upon me, because the L-rd has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the L-rd’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our G-d; to comfort all who mourn; to grant to those who mourn in Zion— to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the L-rd, that he may be glorified.

They shall build up the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former devastations; they shall repair the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations.

Strangers shall stand and tend your flocks; foreigners shall be your plowmen and vinedressers; but you shall be called the priests of the L-rd; they shall speak of you as the ministers of our God; you shall eat the wealth of the nations, and in their glory you shall boast. Instead of your shame there shall be a double portion; instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their lot; therefore in their land they shall possess a double portion; they shall have everlasting joy. (Isaiah 61: 1-7 ESV)

 

The Esthers

We as children of the King with royal status are also called to intercede on behalf of the Jewish people now during their most intense struggle to survive to date, just as Queen Esther did in Persia centuries ago:

 

Esther 4:13-16 (TLV)
Mordecai told them to reply to Esther with this answer, “Do not think in your soul that you will escape in the king’s household more than all the Jews. For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place—but you and your father’s house will perish. Who knows whether you have attained royal status for such a time as this?” Esther sent this to reply to Mordecai, “Go! Gather together all the Jews who are in Shushan and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast in the same way. Afterwards, I will go in to the king, even though it is not according to the law. So if I perish, I perish!”

 

Arise, intercede, wage battle with the Word and worship, and shine His light!!

The Creator worked through Bezalel and Esther, one imperfect vessel who built a tabernacle from materials to house the Presence of His King, and the other who built an future and legacy for her people by trusting her King. Both were used to change history with a specific destiny involving His people.

Bezalel and possibly the other craftsmen worked with gems, Esther wore them. Both are certainly gems in His eyes and earned jewels in their eternal crowns, though from what we know about their character, they probably laid those crowns down at their Heavenly King’s feet.

Both were prepared for and given a specific task, and used correct tools effectively
during a pivotal time in history  Both were obedient and willing.

Bezalel’s Strategy Gems

Gem 1 - His humble resolve to commit to the work for His Creator and creative excellence.
Gem 2 - His spiritual preparation & skill as he was filled with wisdom, and kept his relationship with His Creator strong.
Gem 3 - He understood Israel was at circumstantial pivotal point, and he helped to re-establish its culture.
Gem 4 -  He understood His position, knew his own response in it, and the cost if he didn’t obey with excellence.
Gem 5 - He followed the instruction of Moses (the recipient of the engraved tablets of the Covenant), worked with excellence and in unity with his team.

(The number five represents the Torah in Jewish thought and teaching.)

Both Bezalel and Esther understood the principle later written in Zechariah 4:6 ITree of Life Version)
6 Then he responded to me by saying, ‘This is the word of Adonai to Zerubbabel saying: “Not by might, nor by power, but by My Ruach!” says Adonai-Tzva’ot.

The Engravers are wise-hearted, stirred, ready and skilled to do His work not by might,
nor by power, but by His Spirit.

"Engrave an inscription...” I looked up Song of Songs 2 verse 3 "I delight to sit in his shade,”…(This can mean under the shadow of the Almighty- one meaning of the name Bezalel.)
    and his fruit is sweet to my taste.” (We will one day sit under His vine and fig tree.)
4 Let him lead me to the banquet hall,…” (This could mean past the Holy Place into the Holy of Holies)
    “and let his banner over me be love.” (So we can have His identity and can abide in His shelter)

Psalm 91:1-3  Tree of Life Version
“1 He who dwells in the shelter of Elyon, will abide in the shadow of Shaddai. 2 I will say of Adonai, “He is my refuge and my fortress,     my God, in whom I trust. 3 For He will rescue you from the hunter’s trap “ (Or plans of the enemy.) “and from the deadly pestilence.” (Of evil, unbelief, pretentious plans against His plan.)
 
And we read in Isaiah 49:16: “See, I have engraved you (Jerusalem) on the palms of my hands;  your walls are ever before me.”  (The walls in Jerusalem, but perhaps also being human, moving tabernacles inside His eternal Temple (Kingship, Sovereignty and Plan))

I have inscribed you in Hebrew:
חַקֹּתִ֑יךְ (ḥaq·qō·ṯîḵ)
Verb - Qal - Perfect - first person common singular | second person feminine singular
To hack, engrave, to enact, prescribe (Strong’s 27:10)

Psalm 61:3-5  New King James Version
“3 For You have been a shelter for me, A strong tower from the enemy. 4 I will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings. Selah
5 For You, O God, have heard my vows; You have given me the heritage of those who fear Your name.”
